The Freeze Master Flotec Kit is designed to take all the guesswork out of the pipe freezing and flowing water. This is a low cost method of indicating the direction in which the water is flowing when attempting to freeze it; and it works on a very simple principle. The Flotec Kit consists of two digital temperature probes which you attach to the pipe on either side of the area you are freezing. If the water is moving slowly through the freeze point (where the Freeze Master freeze head is positioned) it will cool. This will register on the down stream digital probe as a lower temperature than the upstream probe. The reading therefore gives you an immediate indication of any flow and the direction.

The Flotec Kit water flow detection method will not indicate flow rate in the amount of litres per minute, but it does provide a simple and highly effective indication of any flow and the direction.
